HF vs. Si suspension??
what are the differences between the suspension components of an HF vs. an Si?? i'm not talking about the shocks/springs, but the actual suspension arms, etc. i found a rear sway bar from an Si at a junkyard and was going to use it on my HF, but i realized that there is no treaded hole on the rear lower control arm to attach the sway links. are there differences between the 2 suspensions, and if so, what are they?? also, are the front sways on the HF and Si the same diameter??
I think the only main difference is that the front sway bar on the Si is a couple of mm wider, and only the Si came with the rear sway and mounting holes. If you want to install the rear sway bar you can either ghetto rig something or swap the entire trailing arms from the Si. Also I think the 88 model year had a slightly different rear suspension then the rest of the EFs. I don't know exactly what was different though.

I think its the LCA thats different on the 88

The only thing that was different is the rear LCA's you can take that out of an Si (as long as its not an 88) and bolt them right into your HF you do NOT have to swap out the whole trailing arm.
And yes the 88 Si's have a different type of LCA's than any other they have LCA's like the Type R however those will also bolt right into your HF but you would need different shocks and you still wouldnt be able to use that sway bar.
If you can go back to that junkyard and get those LCA's from the Si you took the sway bar from.

*edit for clarity*
I just want to get new lower control arms for my HF (90-91) because they are worn out. I am not in need of a rear sway bar. I can get Blox or whatever is on ebay, right?

even if you got the lower control arms it's not gonna help. on the Si's an DX's there are threaded holes to mount the sway bar brackets on the chassis itself. These holes are not on the HF chassis.

Not interested in a sway bar atm. Hence I put the full question in there.

i have owned two 89's and they both didn't have it. maybe it's just the 90-91's that do have them.
