Default battery problems... car wont start after a few hours

Hi, I have a 94 Integra with an alarm and stereo system. I have a backup battery for my alarm, and it's currently using 2 30amp relays when armed, which can be over 12 hours overnight. Stereo system consists of a 200 watt amp, 1 12" sub, and a 1.2 farad capacitor.

Problem is that my car won't start if it sits for more than 24 hours and it will barely to start between 12-18 hours.

I've taken it to Autozone twice to get my battery recharged and they said that it was fine. They've also tested my alternator which was fine as well. I know it's not my alternator because I can drive with music loud, all lights on, and a/c on high and it has enough power. I even turn everything off and let my car idle for 3 minutes after I park, and it still doesn't start after 18-24+ hours. BTW my car is parked outside in temperatures around 90-100 degrees in that makes any difference.

So does anyone know what can be causing the battery drain? Will 2 relays and an alarm system drain the battery overnight? I was going to purchase a new battery, but they said that I didn't need to. So should I purchase a new battery? I'm just going to get Duralast from Autozone.

Thanks for any inputs.

Its most likely a defective or poorly wired capacitor or amplifier. take those out and see if it still happens...I give you a 99% guarantee that's what it is

You have a "parasitic" draw when ign. switch is off, you say you have "2 30amp relays when armed, if you mean the relays are energized when the alarm is armed then that would be be the draw, more then enough to draw down the batt. enough so the car will not start. 94

yeah they're energized when armed. i need it for my kill switch. but now im thinking i shouldve made the relays kill the "switch" when not energized.

well ive actually replaced the battery about 2 weeks ago and havnt had any problems yet. thanks for the reply and sorry for the late reply.

You will still need to rewire the relays. 94
