My greddy sus 2 piece 4:2:1 header cracked at the flange on me last week. The two middle tubes were the ones that cracked, about an inch long on the top of the tube right before by the weld to the flange. My friend works at a shop and layed some nice welds down for me and it fixed the problem for about a week. I just noticed I have two more cracks now, right next to the new welds! And the tube all the way to the right is cracked on now on the right side right at the weld going to the flange.

I need to know some good brands of headers that will fit a 90-91 integra. I would love to buy an edelbrock, but they dont make it to fit my car and im not into cross member trimming or bashing = O. I would settle for a DC but I cant find one in stainless. I dont want a ceramic coated header. I think stainless looks way better and it never rusts opposed to ceramic coated. I've seen plenty of ceramic coated headers rust and I just dont want to deal with that. My engine bay is extremely clean and I just want to keep the look going. I wont settle for anything less than quality.

Any help on what to get and what headers will fit my car would be greatly appreciated!

 

don't get a DC header stanless or ceramic they will f**ken crack. had both and they suck *****. I settle for a ebay special and 2 years still going strong...it outlast some high end ****....but to be honest DC is a good brand just i had bad experience with their product.

 

just have your header re-welded. is there some sort of flex in your exhaust? my DB2 just did this, the kid i got it from had not flex in it

 

i've had several dc headers with no problems. u can find one use for less than $100 probably

 

I was thinking about that. I have the bracket that braces the header to the block installed, I just put that on after it cracked the first time. And no I dont have the flex springs in where the header bolts to the cat. Do you think it would still cause it to crack even with the header bracket installed? I need to find longer flex spring bolts for the springs to work properly, thats why I haven't put them on.

 

if your looking for something that is direct bolt-on with no modifications and not looking to break the bank than just get a megan racing stainless steal header for $120 almost anywhere. Look up the reviews on here and g2ic.com and you will see good reivews based on quality/price.

Or you can be cheap and buy a $60 ebay special header Stainless Steal and call it a day. It required a little grinding on the brakect to make it fit for me though.

dam greddy headers always do it have a buddy that had an h22 and his greddy header cracked in the same place another friend had one on his b series did it too greddy header

i dont want megan, to cheap for my taste, and definitely dont want an ebay header anywhere near my car.. everything i have is skunk2 or greddy.. and im starting to shy away from greddy.. if u can think of any high end brands that will fit right let me know.. otherwise im cool

 

get a dc sports thats the only other company i know of that makes headers for a b20

 

The only other header that is direct fit on a DA other than the megan and greddy would be the DC. There are many other choices especially if money is not a problem, but none of which are a bolt-on affair for a DA.

I would be surprised if you would pick a DC header with a 2inch collector over a megan header and your the one talking about "cheap" when you think DC and your cracked greddy header has "better" quality.

What you need to do is something called research and not ask us about something you should be doing for yourself and not asking us. It's also because you should be asking technical questions in this forum, not about "my greddy header has a crack, what is a better header for my car now", because only yourself can determine that. What do you want, honda-tech to spoon feed you little baby ?

 

danm ive had my greddy header for a year and i bought the thing used and he said he had it for about year and half, and i have no problem w/ mine.. but I'm getting ride of it for my RSR :D

 

does edelbrock make anything that is a close fit? those seem to be the top quality $300 header.
