jdm h22
i just picked up a 95 prelude with a jdm h22 in it and i haven't dealt with these motors before. i've just bumped around wit b series n d series civics. i was just wondering where a good place to start with this motor other than your basic bolt ons. thanks a lot
That awnser is entirely up to you.
It all depends on what you want to do with it.
Sit down a make a list of what do you need to do with car and where you want it to be.
If its a DD your going to want reliabilty. If its your project car, your going to want alot more than just a nice DD. And if its going to be track car, than you can pretty much on altering every single thing about the car to make it go fast.

its not a dd so i want to try and make as much power as possible while still keeping its "street" legal.. however i dont know if i want to do boost or am.. if i go am what is a good setup for this motor? and same for boost.
Nitrous is Good but end up costing more. Average Bottle about $400.00 and it will cost U about $50.00 every time U fill it up. U never going to have the power unless U know U r going to racing. If U race a lot, in 6 months, U end up paying more than a simple turbo kit. or All motor setup.
BUDGET FIRST< THEN GOAL, MONEY TO POWER RATIO.

yea i agree with that if your doing fi.. but thats **** takes a lot more time and money.. i am looking for a quick am setup for now that will give me the most power while im saving up to go fi.
Well its kinda hard to switch from a NA motor to FI. They need to be built almost completly different.
You could get a new intake manifold like the skunk2 or Euro-r. That will cost around $300-500.
You could also get engine managment like Hondata or anyof those other systems since boost will need that first and formost.
Go ahead and get a 3" custom exhaust too since that will work well with trubo and na.
Thats going to cost alot of money for that stuff but atleast it will be going in the right direction if you REALLY want to go turbo.

yea im def goin fi so i figure ill go with a hondata ecu with skunk2 i/m and t/b.. but first and foremost i need to get the engine re-wired cuz the guy that did the swap did the most ghetto rigged **** ever ROFL! so after i take care of the little **** im gonna move on to bigger n better things. what kind of pistons/cams/valve train would you go with for fi?
