So I just pick up an 88 crx SI. I cant stand the 88 front bumper, plus they don't make a lip for it. What all is needed to install a 90-91 front bumper?

 

It bolts right on, you just need a new pair of signal lamps to go along with the newer front bumper

 

I thought you had to change the bumper support?

 

I didn't on my Canadian model, not sure if that makes a difference, don't think so though

I put a 88 support on my 91 and covered it with a 91 cover. Does not fit. The opening for the fog light on the bar is in the wrong place.

Nothing is needed. Hmm, I have swapped bumpers around quite abit and I have never had a fitment issue.

Nope, all year bumper supports are the same. Its the models that are different...well the HF model has a different bumper support then the Dx and Si.

O yea btw...there is a difference in the molding. The 90-91 moldings stick out alittle farther and the 88-89 moldings look alittle wider where they lay flater. Some ppl dont notice it but it killed me so now I am back to rockin the 90 front bumper.

 

Sorry to revive old thread but to get things clear, this bumper ( http://bit.ly/1gcllyS ) will fit on a 88 CRX correct? Will I also have to change my corner lights And fenders too? Or just my corner lights?

 

90-91 front rebar allows a 90-91 bumper and signals, corners are not needed, but optional
