What do you have to do before CMP?
Well I just finished installing and uninstaling a wrong caliper on my car, seems whoever rebuilds calipers for NAPA dosent know what part #s are for. I originally got two calipers, one fl one fr well the fr one looks right but the left one is not stamped nissin, so I take it back and explain that it is not the correct part, ok well they order another one. Well I picked it up today and thought I would be able to get some work done today. Well the damn thing is too small, looks close but I guess I should have checked it with the other caliper before I left the store. So I still need a drivers side caliper. I also need to install the rebuilt spindles, I just have to wait for my buddy to rebuild them. Then when I get all that done I can be din my xp pads. and I have zero days off to do this as I will be at RR for the sediv this weekend. time to call it a night and have some
Replace alternator.
Spot check alignment.
Fab brake ducts.
Put new rear bar on, and take wild *** guess at a setting.
I think that concludes the **** list. SGT came through again and helped me out a ton yesterday. Air tools rock. He's helping out on the alternator too.

As for me, I just need to mount some Kumhos and be on my way.
You know Warren, you might actually be able to win if you keep your suspension setup contant for ... oh .. say a day!
Tweaking is half the fun. Anyhow, I should be able to get it right this time. I've got a crewmember! Whooo! Someone can help me tweak the car into possibly the right combination.Warren
1. Finish oil cooler (see other thread)
2. New windshield
3. Fix exhaust leak
4. Put car on trailer
Given my past history, this is not so bad.

I finished this past weekend...

I've still got to...
1. Disable steering wheel lock.
2. Remove passenger airbag and disable driver airbag.
3. Pray that I don't break something at Jefferson Circuit this weekend.

(knowing that if you wad it up, you can still get home) is VERY cool. It does however involve "shaking the tree."

(1) Figure out how to get in and out of the Miata with cage, padding, window net and seat back brace (preventing me from sliding the seat back) all in the way... I believe a quick release steering wheel is in my near future.
(2) Get all paperwork to Grumpy.
(3) Oil change.
(4) Put Toyos on yellow car.
I'm sure there is something I'm forgetting.

Lesse, for me before CMP:
Hop in my truck and taxi down any MM boyz and anyone else who wants a ride from NOVA (assuming I can get out of my family commitments).
well first I have to decide if Im going
but assuming that then I need to:
install STi motor and tranny mounts (no they arent pink!)
install carbotech XPs (when they come in--first set made for the WRX
)
oil change
do a brake fluid flush (buy new brake fluid first)
install SS brake lines
try (most likely in vain) to figure out some brake ducting for my 3000 lb car
decide wether to use daily driver tires or azenis

Bullshit. I bet they are pink...
Evan - i'll be going to home despot today and we can use the pressure bleeder i'm gonna build to flush your system, if you like. You bought SS brake lines too? Damn... cash$money... lemme know if you want help installing those, i can bring some flare-end wrenches so you dont round off the nuts on the OE lines.
Brake ducting? As long as its pink and/or carbon fiber. Oh ya, use the azenis, they rock. For a street tire.

Can you get out the passenger window? Or is the seat just too close to the steering wheel?
What seat are you using? FIA seats no longer require seat back brace (at least with SCCA, not sure if NASA did the same).
