Default DJ 2501's Civic Timeline

Well Ill start off with the engine setup. The car came with a d15b7 in it that had 256K on it and was getting some bad blow by. The new engine is a JDM d15b vtec sohc attached to a rebuilt si tranny. Basic bolt ons for now but plan on doing a vitara build and 400hp.

I’ve had this car for 2 years now and have been doing the bodywork to it since then. Finally it is complete and I love it. It's gonna need a good wet sand and buff but it should come out nice after that. I’m not going to talk I’m just going to post the pictures (lots of them) and let you guys see what I started with, what I’ve done, and what it’s become.

Here are some shitty pictures that I just took. I couldnt tell that they were blurry untill I got home and looked at them on the computer. Oh well. Ill have a good shoot in bright day light soon, maybe this weekend.

It really needs a wet sand and buff before itll look really good. Just gotta set aside an entire day to do that.

Damn bugs already all over the bumper

UPDATE

Started wet sanding and buffing. I have a long weekend ahead of me

Before:

After:

Pics are somewhat dark I shot them with the exposure way down on my camera so I have more room to play with them in photoshop.

Still have to finish wet sanding and buffing then Ill have some good pictures.

No I didnt have any troubles shaving the handles. There was one area on the quarter that sucked in when I welded the patch in but it wasnt to bad.

The key to welding our thin Honda metal is stitch welds. Weld in stitches a few inches apart from each other then start another pass and weld another stitch right next to your old stitches.

Like this:

X = first pass
O = second pass
T = third pass

The start of your car looks like mine now. Rusted and a little beat up!

Your car is looking great! Congrats on getting it this far.

Excellent work on the body. I'm not a fan of the wheels or the shaved door handles, but the work put into the car is well-executed.
