OT: First Drive: R35 GTR... My Impressions...
This morning I pull up to see the normal crowd at National Speed prior to opening. Bobby (Our head tech), informs me that one of our customers that is there for the first time has multiple GTRs, in town. I start asking about them, almost skeptical.
After talking for less than 30 seconds, the customer says to me, "Hell, let's go get one man."
I drive him out to his house in the Type-R, and there it is... Godzilla, just sitting there like any other car would, it almost seemed surreal looking at it. Unbeknownst to me, things were about to get a LOT more surreal.
As we walked up to it, he says, "How about this, I'll drive your Integra back, you drive the Nissan."

Sitting in Godzilla for the first time, I was in awe. It may have the styling of your average Nissan interior wise, but once the beast wakes up, and gets moving, it is a VERY different feeling.
On the way back to the shop, I'm following behind the Type-R, cruising (Surprisingly comfortable), unsure of if it would be faux pas to get on it a bit. After a few miles of cruising, our customer waves me by... It's on.
Dropping in to third gear, the engine starts to hum in anticipation... As I hammer the gas pedal, I note in my mind that the further I pushed the pedal down, the further my head threw back in the seat. The response of this car is absolutely staggering, and unlike most responsive cars, it does not die off in power at the top end.
The car kept pulling, and pulling, and pulling, gear after gear, before long, I realized I was at a speed that would cut me some jail time, I let out. It was absolutely amazing.
Testing out the suspension, it's absolutely amazing (I know I've mentioned this term multiple times in these paragraphs, but it is the only term that I can think of, that properly describes this car's attributes). The only cars I've ever driven that are this fast, are all top-end, with horrible handling. This car is the absolute best of all worlds.
Bottom line: No car I'll ever drive, will ever stack up to this car, ever again. The Type-R is currently sitting in the parking lot, keys in it, as I am too excited to bother taking them out, or even caring, because it seems like such a Honda now... GTR, is hands down, the most well balanced, awesome car, I've ever driven, or will ever drive. It is not the fastest car I've ever driven, or been in, but to hell if it's not the most well balanced/responsive/fun car I've ever driven.
It is perfection. Simple perfection.
To anyone who wants to see a GTR in person, there is one in National Speed's show room for the duration of this coming week. We will be dynoing the car early this coming week, we will make a thread with details.

Love the car. Got a chance to drive a few while in Japan. To be honest for all the hype and reviews I think more is expected. Don't get me wrong, still an awesome car but dosn't compare to say a R34 Nismo edition i went for a ride in. I wish Nissan would backup their "No price gauging" which is going on, prices reaching over 120k for them. For that price I think I'd pick up a 911 Turbo. But for 72k, its probably the best car ever made.
By the way, you look like your blowing you load in the last picture

What is?
Its seems to be one of the best bang for the bang cars you can get. A supercar under 100K.

It's generally cheap, considering the performance you get.

Amazing, it would be neck breaking.

I'm not saying it's a bad car, but I often find that cars that wow you initially get old real quick. There are some exceptions, but I personally require a manually shifted transmission, you know, with a clutch pedal and shifter that I can physically shift the trans with...

Get your hand off my car unless you want to pull back a knub!!!! j/k
I just realized like two days ago that these were all over Ebay for like $110k. Wow.... (not that they aren't worth $110k from a performance standpoint)
