would skunk2 pro 1 cams work with 1mm oversized valves?
recently i bought some pro2 cams and was going to put them into my car, but then i found out that its not possible due to my oversized valves. I sold the pro2's so now, im planning to buy some pro1 cams and I have 1mm oversized valves. would they work? i know i have to degree the cams and everythng. its going into my c5, right now i have stock pistons in them, i might go with 12.5 compression pistons soon.
thanks in advance.
thanks in advance.
The only way to know is to check your Valve to Valve clearance, not hard to do. I had .055" V2V clearance at 0/0 gears wtih stock valves.
When I degreed my Pro1's the EX ended up +3.5 degrees more than the IN, which gave me more V2V clearance than 0/0 cam gear setting. hope this helps

why do some people degree their intake cams in negative degress? which one is better? degreeing the intake negative or the ex positive?

Yeah, I got 1mm oversized on both exhaust and intake. And my whole valve train is fearra. From seats up to retainer.

While I'm in China and can't actualy check my settings. Mine were degreed to Skunk2 specs and I seem to remember my EX being about 3.5deg more advanced then the IN.

My cams degreed In +3, Ex +4 using the peak method and Skunk2 specs. I had 0.055" V2V clearance with this setting. Head had a fresh valve job and running standard Skunk2 valves.
