Default Quick Question (Auto-x) Old STR class......

Last year there was STS and STR.
One of my friends has an STS car and wants to run race rubber.
Since STR is no longer a class...where does he go?
Thanks.
-'91 Civic Si Hatch.

His Street Prepared class - about the only thing allowed in SP and not in STS other than rubber is a LSD.

Uh, you are allowed much more than that in SP. You are allowed to bore .040 over, balance recpircating parts, intake and exhaust are open so you can run individual throtle bodies and a straight pipe exhaust, stand alone engine management is allowed. Light weight flywheels and clutches. light weight bucket front seats. Just to name a few things.

Just a few things

I'm thinking about DSP for next year cause right now I'm on par with the DSP guys by about .1-.4 seconds. Add on all those mods should take me to first

PLEASE!!! Come to DSP! I've seen you run before in STS! you're quick! There arn't enough DSP cars out here. To be honest... most the ones I've raced against arn't that fast. I need to be challanged! Someone please come humble me!!!!!

Partly joking but... we can always use some good DSP comp!

Are you saying you are .1-.4 seconds off the DSP guys and you are on Azenis? Are you talking PAX or raw times here? If you are that close in raw times on street tires, a set of Hoosiers will definitely get you first. I'll be at the event this Sunday running in DSP...should be interesting.

Matt, come down and play this Sunday.

Mike

Actually at the last event I was 1 second off the DSP guys. Most of the events I'm about .1-.4 seconds off, and at some of the events I've beaten them

I think DSP is much more fun then STS. R tires are a blast to drive on and especially with a LSD installed. I went back and rode with a STS Integra a few events ago and it seemed so slow compared to my car now (no offence to the other driver). Also I find the SP drivers are more competitive and dedicated then STS so they make for some very good instructors (In my region at least).

What's fun is beating people on R tires in an STS/STX car
