My vent blows hot air all the time in any postion. Hot or cold on the temp control. the a/c is off and with the vent on it blows hot air. Also with blower off u can feel the heat.

Thanks

Check the valve on the firewall, make sure the temp selector in the car moves the valve.

If that valve is closed off then there is no supply of hot engine coolant to the heater, so it physically cannot provide hot air if that valve is closed off. Is it just blowing ambient (outside) temp air or is it actually heated? Might be your AC just isn't coming on...

turn recirculate on. mine had that problem, now it just doesnt blow cold air. Not doable in rain or heavy fog though, you're keeping he moisture in the car and that = foggy windows =/= possible head on collision with a midwestern black bear.

in either recirulate it blows hott too. I think it might be the heater valve on the firewall I have to test it somehow

Yeah, that's what it sounds like to me too. Here's what I would do:

-Drain your coolant
-Unscrew and break loose hose clamps from either side of valve
-Pull off the hoses (carefully if you can)
-Unbolt valve from firewall and remove from car
-Check it out...see if it looks damaged, rusty, bent etc. Open and close it manually and see if it won't close all the way.
-Then you can replace it if you need to

I wouldn't rule out the A/C. When the retards at the radiator shop (exact level of retardation explained in a previous thread) replaced my radiator, they managed to run the A/C power wire through the fan blades and that was that. It acted exactly like you're describing because the A/C never came on.
