I would go with 6000k kit anytime even though 4300k sees better at night, still~ HID is HID

well if you want HID's simply for a non-stock look then why not just buy some ghey blue tinted headlight bulbs instead?

4300K puts out the most light, all the others just take away from that light output by tinting the xenon capsules, at which point you're right back where you were w/ the APC/Cuzo/junk POS blue halogen headlights.

9005 conversion that's all i have to say. Nice link Patrick... i did a 9005 conversion yesterday. I've seen thing on the road that i never seen before with the 9006. Save your money on performance mods and do the 9005 conversion.

While I agree the 9005 conversion is great for the money (especially w/ Sylvania Cool Blues), I will still be going HID in the near future when I get the money. I think the amount I drive on interstates at night justifies the cost.

i did the 9005 conversion about 2-3 years ago with the slyvania cool blues and it was a nice improvement over the stock lights, but when i went 4300k philips hid last year; there was no comparison. if you do a lot of night driving, i definately recommend the hid's if you have budget for them

I absolutely LOVE my 4300k HID kit I bought from Trevor at visualdynamics from this past GroupBuy, it is awesome. The light output is so so much better. Anything above 4300k just gets bluer/purpler, and the light output decreases. I got the HID for the most lightoutput, not just for looks, and the 4300k's do NOT look like stock and would not be mistaken as so, they DO look like HID's, sure they are not as blue as others, but who cares, if you want performance go with the 4300k's, if you want bluer/purpler lights then go for a higher kelvin rating, but I wouldnt. Just my opinion, enjoy

That is pretty difficult, especially when taking pictures at night... different cameras and exposures can make pictures vary SO greatly, the only way to compare the two would be to have 2 cars right next to each other and take one pic w/ one camera. Otherwise you could have 4300K pics come out looking bluer than 6000K pics and vice versa... you just never know.

Think I'm gonna give the Hella 4800 HID kit a shot. Found out it is made by Phillips, the ballasts supposedly say Phillips right on them. The 4800 will give me a nice look, and I will stay bright. Not to mention the Hella kit makes for a high and low beam HID. Ill post pics when they are on. Wont be for a month (when the conversion is done

I discourage using HID in the high beams. HID capsules take a couple minutes to warm up, so you would not be able to use them to flash anyone. Also if you are on a dark road w/ oncoming traffic, turning your high's on and off, HID's would not be able to do that.

Have you seen the way the Hella kit works and encorporates a low and high beam?

QUESTION TO ALL:

Is the inner compartment (closer to the emblem) on the JDM front the place that holds the bright? I saw someone with HID, and they had a non HID bulbs on the inner (right side of left light/left side of right light), and they were UGLY.. how do people get them to match up.. do they just wire the inner lights to stay off, or whats the deal? Found a sample pic...

whats with the inner lights ???

You can always go to visualdynamics.com and look for pics and info at the site, the 4300k kit is very very nice, best light output

With Integra headlights, you wouldn't want one of those HID kits w/ the movable shield, espeically not in a projector housing (I doubt they make those w/ D2S capsules anyway).

And those inner lights are foglights. They're supposed to be amber, they look awesome that way anyway (intense white/blue HID and intense amber foglight).

Well,

Do you think the shield type low beam/high beam would work alright with the Japanese front end. Please explain. Any evidence/experience on others car as to why it would/wouldn't work?

Wondering something else. Seeing as though the kit uses a shield, is the low beam going to be as strong as the low beam in a regular Phillips kit?
