Default F20B OIL PAN??

So F20B DOHC VTEC, hopefully a usdm oil pan can work for this engine, and id assume a h22 possibly would be the match. But would like a deffinate answer please. Also if it is a h22 pan, then which series engine, since obd1 and obd2 usdm have 2 different style pans. Thanks

That might be a tough one...I would try to contact member 'XES' as he is currently running a HIGH HP F20 hybrid and he is very knowledgeable.

The H22 oil pan def won't fit. If any of the usdm one's do, it'll be one of the other F (non-s2k) engines.

Weird, an H22 head fits that block. Why wouldn't the H22 oil pan fit.

Maybe it could fit if you use the matching oil pickup? Random thought. Possibly a 97+ pan and pickup to match?

as far as i have seen with these two eyes, the f20b oil pan surface that mates to the block is perfectly flat. the h22 obd1 pan has raised areas on it where the rubber oil pan gasket siits. the f20b pan seals with hondabond. the obd2 h22 pan is flat as well but is aluminum and uses hondabond. the 98 and up f23 accords , as heikdiesel put it, use the same pan as the f20b using hondabond as sealant. so in saying if you were to use the obd1 h22 pan grab a rubber oil pan gasket. i dont see why you couldnt use the obd2 pan either. thats what ive seen with my eyes.

second that. jdogg stated in a post that he used an h22 oil pan on his f20b and because the h pan wasnt deep enough for the f20b pickup he spun his bearings.
