soft part of the undercarriage
Hey guys, so I have a 2000 civic hatch that I just barely bought. The undercarriage, or the soft undercarriage, the part of the floor of the car that is directly under the driver seat...is bent upward. It's not bent up by a significant amount, but its up enough that the plastic covering by the dead pedal won't snap in completely. The guy that I bought the car from said while he was lowering the car down on the hydro, he forgot that he left a jack under there, so he bent it in slightly.
my question is, how can I level it out again, some friends suggested using a mallet and a block of wood and just hitting it back down gently....any suggestions? Its not big enough to affect the driving position or even noticeable, but its still annoying that the plastic piece isn't snapped in completely.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Like your friends said, mallet and block of wood, if thats a no go, you migth be able to bring it to a body shop and have then give it a tug with a frame pull.
