how do u tear off the acura logo emblem without leaving any marks on the surface? i see some people do theirs successfully but i never no how to do it tho?

I used a razor blade VERY CAREFULLY. You may want to use dental floss, I haven't tried that one. Yeah they come off no problem. Depending on year the emblems may have holes in the back (my Honda H had two holes but the Civic and EX badges are just stick on). Good luck.

 

my friends said they used nail polish remover...does that work the same as the dental floss?

use dental floss...perferably wax so that scuffing can be kept to a minimum. make sure after you get it off to clean it really well, apply a coat of wax...btw I would suggest against a razor blade if you do not have a surgeons hand

 

I used dental floss (Oral B waxed/mint) to remove my emblems.. depending on which ones your removing.. there will be 2 holes behind it and you will need to fill those in at a body shop otherwise it will look ugly w/ 2 holes off centered... pull a few strands of dental floss and start getting the floss in between the emblem and body and move up and down (as if you were flossing) and the dental floss will cut through the epoxy glue to hold the emblem... you'll need a decent amount cuz when I was doing mine the dental floss kept tearing....

EDIT: oh yeah I wouldnt use nail polish remover or a blade as it sounds bad for your paint...

umm...i tried to use the dental floss today, and i did took the emblem down but the whole acura marks was still right there, like gray glue mark thing, what is the best thing to wash it off compeletely??

 

ur talking about the epox/glue right? I used some "Goo Gone" its some compound/material to take off "Goo" .. they had it at Kragen.. after I removed all the glue/adhesive... I washed and waxed my car...
