Default H23 spark plug #1 is yellow...

Ive noticed that my h23 has been acting like a turd when I cold start it. It sputters and puffs out a little cloud of greyish smoke ...smells almost like its running really rich .I pulled the plugs tonight and all were clean except for cyl. #1 which was wet and had a brownish yellow color to it....My first initial thought was either (sticking injector or leaking headgasket) I will try to post a pic tommorow ....

what do yall think?

do a compression test, the psi should be almost the same for all, if the compression test is lower on this cylinder, then u could have a bad valve, head gasket, or rings.

well I started the car after work today and it did the same thing its been doing for the last 3 weeks or so....as soon as i start it it starts chugging for like 10-20 seconds then it idles perfect. The exaust smells as if it is running really rich, but I dont want to overlook the fact that it could be coolant .....

If you haven't done a compression test, then take the spark plug out then turn on a flash light to have a peak inside it. It might be wet.

If U think you car is running rich, False thinking. That only happens with you drive.

If you start your car and it idle pretty bad and white smoke appears from the exhaust. It's not Excess gas, it's collant leak or oil.

Check Coolant and oil level before you drive and after .
