I would really like some advice on lowering my 2002 Accord
Hey guys, this is my first post ever, I just finally joined up on here. Anyways i just got an '02 Accord ex (4 cyl 2.3L VTEC) and I would really like to lower it. I dont have TONS of money to spend though. I have been looking into a coilover kit, or even just lowering springs. What would you guys consider to be the best way to lower it for my money. In terms of ride quality, and product quality. And also...which brands are the best, but still at a decent price?

Unfortunately PIC does not make a coilover kit for the 6th gen Accords...
I'm on Tein coilovers right now and I'm satisfied with them I suppose. They are pretty soft but daily driver friendly. I initially thought the dampening on them was crap, but after riding on another suspension setup I realized that the Teins were much better. I bought Function Form coilovers probably 10 months ago and let me tell you, they rode like ***. The worst dampers I've seriously ever ridden on in my life. Luckily I hadn't sold my Teins yet so I just swapped them out again and sold my F2s. They went extremely low but if you want something that rides well... F2s are not the way to go. I hear I probably got a bad set but there were other things I didn't really like about the company...
But back on topic... It really depends on what you are expecting from your suspension. If you want to go low, there are no spring or shock combos that will really get you THAT LOW. For that you'll probably have to get Ksports, D2s, AMRs, etc. Something with an adjustable shock body. If you want a decent drop then you probably will want Eibach Sportlines with upgraded shocks. You'll end up spending like 500 or 600 on parts that way. If you want a full coilover, the best compromise I can think of for ride quality, ride height, and price would be Tein Basics. They're like 800 ~ 850 bucks and they'll get you flush with your tires, still ride nice, and won't bottom out.

yeah i have been looking at some skunk2 coilover kits, or even just some eibach sportline springs. My biggest concern is that my job requires me to carpool people to and from work. Hence 4 people in my car lowers the **** out of the back. Right now my car kinda has that damn boat look to it. The back has about a 2 inch gap and the front about 5 or 6. I really need to lower it with the right equipment in order to withstand me having so much weight added to my car when im carpooling people, i need it to still not bottom out, and need it to still keep a good look instead of sinking down in the back. Any more suggestions?? Thanks guys!
