f22b prelude
is it f22b swap with the same motor or h22.????? Some swap will have more vaccum hose or line than other, this case U just have to plug those that R not use. I'm not use about the Vtec, R U saying that if U drive Ur car right away then it works? but doesn't work when the temp is normal????? Check U oil level, make sure they are clean and up to the normal level. or not too low.
yes this swap has been done tons of times... sounds like your old engine may have a bad vtec pressure switch or like was mentioned, its possible you dont have enough oil pressure...sometimes the screens in the vtec solinoid gasket get dirty and wont allow vtec to engage....i dont know if vacuum lines makes a difference with vtec i dont believe so, but 20 bucks for a haynes and a little bit of time, you can find exactly where your vacuum lines need to go...it seems like you have a pretty simple fix on your hands so im not sure why you wanna spend the money on a swap

Unless I am wrong is an F22B a JDM 2.2 liter version of the USDM H23A1? I am pretty sure thats what my friend swapped into his Si because it was clean and cheap. So um yah, no vtec....
well according to this:

the vtec works fine when it's cold and stops working when the engine warms up. The oil level is normal.
I only put the f22 in because it was available and it was cheap. The h23 in it was blown.
I'm going to put an h22 in it in a few weeks.
