Turbo build now it won't turn over.
Just recently finished my ls turbo build in my 89 hatchie and when i went to start her up she cranks but won't turn over.
Put in new plugs and it would crank, but not turn over, so pulled the fuel line where it meets the rail and cranked it and no gas came out, then disconnected the fuel line before the regulator and still no gas.
My thoughts are that it is the fuel pump, but is there anyway to check other than what i did? just to make sure?
How can i check if i'm getting spark? so i can rule that out.

Alright after working on it most of the morning today I was able to get it started...
but at the fuel filter both hoses were pouring out gas and the same happened at the connection to the fuel rail. I tightened these down as tight as i can and even tried putting teflon tape on the threads. When i say it was pouring i mean it was POURING OUT it was shooting from regulator to valve cover.
A terrible terrible mess.
I have a fuel pressure gauge on the line going from the filter to the rail and its not showing any pressure. Could the gauge be bad and cause this? Or could the filter be clogged and cause it to spew out?

You need to clean the bolts on the fuel filter of ANY corrosion before you bolt it back up. Also clean off the fuel line fittings. Make sure you get all the gas out of the lines before you do it though... You dont want any sparks and fire.
Oh and yeah make sure theyre on the right way. Also might want to check your main relay if youre having intermittent priming issues.

Yeah at first I was having priming issues but i resoldered the main relay and then it worked. the connections were a little bad.
There was a lot of corrosion on my fuel lines and somehow I was missing a washer. So I ordered all new washers and a new bolt too just to be safe. It's just odd because I've never had a problem with leaking fuel before, but I guess I've never opened the lines up before, so the corrosion probably acted as a seal.
and yes they were on the right way.
