Where to get Rubber Strips? I need some... Bad...
Does anyone know a good solution to fixing these? They're ugly when they're chipped. I was thinking of getting new strips but I don't know the part numbers. Anyone wanna help a brotha out?

looks like you don't have much left to sand on those doors. mine weren't as bad as yours and i simply painted them. when they go bad again i'm sanding mine down. $200 for trim is not in my budget

lol exactly. when i try chipping it off, it peels, and i dont wanna peel it to a point where the part that touches the window glass comes off with it. so basically im thinkin of using a pocket knife or something to create a straight line on the "part that touches the window glass" (sorry dont know the correct term for it) and chip away from there on down.
I used a razor blade. Its small and gets under that stuff really easily just be careful. After that just clean them of and primer them. you can paint the black on top of that but i just left mine primered.
howd that turn out? is it obvious that the shape differs from before you scratch it off? and how does it look? if you dont mind, do you think you could take some pics?
please and thanks

I wonder if you were to buy a can of aircraft paint stripper, tape + cover anything & everything you want to keep! that **** is soo good. Just make sure you don't spray any on yourself - it burns!
Spray it on, wait 5min and done... Wipe off the bubbled goo they wash off with soapy water.

I bought new ones from honda years ago and imo it was worth $60 per side. They still look brand new and are rubbery.
i was looking online, and found the diagram where the part should be, however, the numbers shown for the new sides are not shown on the list of parts to buy.
buy them, i did and i love them
i got all four for about 200 bucks lol, i had some extra money a little while back

yeah man that would be really risky, but not a bad idea if you are careful.

if you go look up CRX parts, then look under "side protector" it should show on the picture as numbers 16 and 21, but when you look on the list below the diagram, numbers 16/21 are missing. you could just maybe call the number and see if they have the part available. however, the part isnt available online.

You can scrape them clean with a razor, smooth them down with a flapper wheel, then repaint them with black enamel. It works fine as long as you do the flapper thing to roughen the surface then clean it really good with a prep wipe from duplicolor. You'll need to be patient with the razor part and make a clean line the preserves the part that touches the window, but with a sharp blade on a box knife, it works.
