My car when it was sitting at the pound. I was robbed at gun point and they took my car stripped it and torched it... Warning very disturbing pictures below...

Atleast from the looks of it you didn't have a ton of work done to the car.

Maybe you could pick up a newer EP hatch.
Check out the Speed3's, a buddy of mine has one of those and it is a nice all around car. Gets ok mileage too.

What surprises me the most is that it was taken place in Texas. They are sure stepping their game up.

The thieves were all just desperate - it's the only think I can think of why they did what they did. Don't you agree?

I'm just glad the OP wasn't burned along with the car.

If you got dough saved up on top of your insurance rebate, get a S2K.

How much you gettin back from insurance?

Side note....Sorry bro. that really sux that peoples do like that. pointless, ridiculous....and just pointless.

They took a hell of a risk for not much money, even leaving the motor and transmission in the car, and there was no reason to torch it after they got whatever they wanted to get out of it.

I'll tell you right now that the minds of the investigators have already gone to (1)somebody else with an EP3 and (2)insurance fraud.

It's gotta be something weird like that. Doesn't make sense otherwise. I think the police should already know if the vehicle were used for that kind of thing.

Very best of luck to you. I hope you live somewhere with a good and sympathetic police department with enough connections and enough investigative officers to get something done for you.

And I also hope you have a good insurance company.

That's because in Chicago they know the law-abiding citizen isn't going to be armed (thank Daley and Obama).

Now, if someone trys that to me...they'll get something else instead of a car
