White smoke from exhaust on hard acceleration
I have '00 gsr with 76K on it. Recently my friends told me that they are seeing white smoke come out from the exhaust on hard acceleration (5k + rpms). I have never noticed it in my rear view mirror. I have searched and the simple answers given are blown head gasket.
Have you checked your oil yet? If you haven't, then take note of the quantity of fluid/oil drained and the coloration. If you've got white smoke out your tail pipe then your burning coolant which could also be leaking into your oil. If the oil looks brown like a chocolate milkshake then that confirms it.
What color would the oil be if I had coolant in the oil?
I also have a cracked radiator (spit coolant all over the engine bay) that I am replacing today.

I wouldn't be concerned if it's burning coolant or oil under hard acceleration. However, if the car was smoking while at idle when the engine is rully warmed up I would be. Besides, you will know if your headgasket is completely bad because it'll idle and drive horribly.
Ex. spewing smoke out under normal driving conditions like I've seen other imports do.

Coolant + Oil looks milky brown like a melted chocolate shake with a slimy consistancy. You'd smell traces of coolant in the drained oil close up.
You can rent a radiator pressurizer from Autozone or your local parts store to test for a leak in your cooling system to rule out rather or not you actually have a coolant leak. But I would wait to do this until after you get that new radiator put in.
