Recently, my CEL came on and i checked the codes and came uo Code 9. So i did some research and it kept showing that the CYP Sensor is inside the Distributor and so i oredred a new distibutor from AutoZone. I changed the distributor yesterday and cleared the codes and then i cranked it up and the code came right back. Any help??

Also Auto Zone dizzys suck - they are crappy rebuilts.

What you need is a Richporter/Distributor King distributor. They're all over Ebay I'm sure. All brand new including base, sensors, ignitor, coil, rotor button, and cap all assembled, ready to install.

Check your wiring harness off of your dizzy. IF all fails, I think you can try bypassing the CYP by adding a 300-700 ohm resistor, CHECK A REPAIR manual for sure.
