Default Apex'i exhaust question: 94-97 ws2 vs. 94-99 N1??

so i've been looking around at exhaust systems for my db8, nothing serious, just browsing really. i found some pretty cheap apex'i systems in a pretty nice store on ebay (they have mostly high-quality parts), but i'm confused about the application guides they have...

for some reason, the N1 system they have says "fits 94-99 gsr 4 door." and the WS2 system says "fits 94-97" gsr 4-door. i'm wondering, why would one fit 94-99 and the other only fir 94-97?? anyone know? its a little disappointing b/c if i did get one, i'd like to get the WS2 and, go figure, i have a 98.

btw.. systems for 4-doors are pretty limited, i've found. if i did buy a cat-back system it would probably be apex'i.. but would any of you guys [with experience] recommend maybe an es oval or vibrant muffler (black) w/ custom-bent pipe, and if so, what do you think the price difference would be??

thanks in advance, guys

Price for a custom exhaust set up would be around 350$ with a vibrant or the oval muffler (piping 200$ 30$ resonator with labor and vibrant/oval 120$) I think this setup would give you a better gain in power since its straight through but apexi cat backs are nice. Especially the ws2 I say if your planning on going boosted just get the vibrant or oval for a sleeper look and a better power gain.

BTW: thats exactly how much my custom exhaust cost with the vibrant. The shop that did it had a mandrel bender too so it was nice

The GS-R header changed for the 2000 model year.

Anything before that (from 94-99) was the same, so it may just be an error on their part.

I have a 98 GS-R too, but it is a 2 door. I'm not really sure if they made changes that were specific to the 4dr, but I doubt it.

Get under the car and make sure your cat has two o2 sensors, then you will know that it is the header/cat that came on the 94-99 GS-R. All other integras have one o2 in the header and one in the cat.

yeah i'm probably not going to boost it. if anything i'm just going to do a couple bolt-ons and leave it be for awhile --> baby on the way lol.

but then which would i get, a 2.25" or a 2.5"?
