I officially own a bike
After a year of deciding which bike i wanted I've finally picked one up. Some of you might remember when I posted the 05' 636 I was looking at, well, my friend picked up a zx6r and I didn't want to sport a similar bike as him so I went with my second choice of a gsxr600.
03' GSXR600
Gunmetal
Sliders
Yoshi pipe
Seat Cowel
I am enjoying ever minute on this bike and the seat is about 100x's more comfortable than that of the zx. I am working on getting all the gear I need as well as signing up for the safety class(es).
Right now I ride with jeans and a technik jacket but will be purchasing full leathers, boots, and a leather jacket. Can't wait to get on the track and see what I can do.

Take your time and respect the machine. Attend the MSF, read a book or two and don't take your ego with you when riding.

Nice bike.
Edit: How much did you pay? I'm looking into something very similar.

Thanks for the compliments, not many people like the gold wheels around here for some reason. It's funny you mention the ego thing because my buddy who bought the zx6r is turning squid right in front of my eyes haha. I see him wearing a cut off and shorts all the time and you can tell he lets it go to his head.
I paid 5 for the bike and it came with a helmet + xtra lens (too big), technik jacket (too big), and extra frame sliders. The bike has 9500 miles on it.
Next up is 520 DID chain kit, rear tire, and bike stands.

Try to sell the gear you got for some quick cash, then use that to complete to buy proper sized gear
Gear is only good and effective if it's properly sized.

Yeah it's been down before the paint and after, not from me though. You can't see it in the pics but on the right side is where it is scratched up. I don't mind though because it's only a matter of time before it could go down again.

You have to feel that way from what I've gathered. All I hear is "there are those that have laid a bike down and those who are going to lay a bike down" or similar phrases. I don't let that go through my head while I ride but I'm just saying I'm ready for it if/when it happens.

BTW, if you ever get crazy... that bike would look sick with the frame and swingarm powdercoated gold
Where in WI are you?

I'm in stevens point WI. I think the frame being gold would be too much, but who knows. I'd have to see it photoshoped, but there are other things I want to do before I think of cosmetic mods.
