Default Flat Towing?

My dad made up a custom bracket to tow my crx that hooks up to the tow points on the left and right front of the car. We plan on towing the CRX from NJ to VA. 7 hours. Is there any risk in flat towing that I should know about? Or is it fine just leaving the car in neutral and towing the car down. Quick advice please!

Isn't it illegal in some states? =\

Also, how are you wiring up lights for the rear brakes? Read laws/ask police for those areas.
