In terms of power gained, no the "power chamber" is not worth the money. You are better off going with a simple 3" intake and a quality filter.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say that your shifter didnt come with "any bushings between the ball thing". Most short shifters do not come with any bushings. You simply reuse your stock parts and install them onto the new shifter. Look under your car and see if the bottom of the shifter is hitting the exhaust.
However, an aftermarket bushing kit is a great upgrade but stay away from that rip off $40 Password JDM crap. You can get an Energy Suspension shifter kit for around $10-15 bucks.

Your B&M shifter just had an empty hole in the bottom, right? And you just stuck the (small) through-bolt through that (large) hole in the shifter, right?
You have to re-use the inserts w/ o-rings from the stock shifter. That should stop the rattling, but it will probably still feel rubbery like the stock shifter. You need a shifter like a Skunk2 one that has sealed metal bearings and spacers at the bottom to really get a precise-feeling shifter. Those bushings had more slop in them than the original 7-yr old rubber bushings I originally took out when I first installed the poly ones.
As for the shifter bushings, polyurethane is crap. They will wear out much faster than rubber and leave you with much more slop in the shifter than the rubber bushings will. I replaced the polyurethane bushings in my car with new OEM rubber ones a few months back, and it made my short shifter feel 100x better, as the polyurethane ones were just crumbling apart.

well I have new OEM rubber bushings and it feels great. WAY better than this crap that I took out:

OP, you need to add washers or some other type of spacer since the linkage has a wider throat than the bottom of the shifter. That's what I did on mine and it hasn't rattled in nearly 7 years.

I stuck several washers on my through bolt to take up the extra space, and also a lock washer on each side of the shifter to keep everything pressed together and rattle-free. Did that nearly 7 years ago when I first installed the shifter and haven't touched it since, and never had any problems.
