Default Brake Shudder *help will be greatly appreciated*

ok...at high speed braking, this is hard braking from about 110 mph and up....the brakes seem to shudder, or make a slight to hard throbbing when i apply the brakes pretty hard...what do ya think the culprit would be...pads look good....is it the rotors

Warped rotors if the pads are good.

Try using a torque wrench and properly tightening the lug nuts to about 85 ft/lb.
Should help some, hopefully.

Take the rotors off and take them to Autozone. 9.99/rotor to machine them (at least here). If they are under spec just buy some autozone rotors, should be $24.99 each.

Enjoy wasting your cash

Autozone rotors x 2000 I used to support brembo blanks and still do over anything else.. except autozone rotors.

Tip #1:

Don't wash your car if the brakes are still hot. This can cause rapid cooling of the rotor surface and cause warping

Well you should get throbbing A LOT if you have warped rotors. You should have throbbing daily driving too... I got throbbing under High speed braking on the track, but i KNOW my rotors can't be warped. So, it COULD be your ABS kicking in.

Cast iron rotors swell a bit when then get hot (thermal expansion) - thus you can feel more vibration. Also if the rim is slightly out of balance - this will be accentuated at higher speed.

My car used to hop under aggressive braking. It was ******* awful. I fixed it by fixing all the busted bushings that I could find. I probably have a few more bushings that could stand to be replaced, but the swaybar ones and the endlink ones seem to have made the biggest difference.

Also, squeeze the brake, don't stomp. This made a huge difference in mine.

could also be pad deposits on the rotor.

it did this w/ the P+ on stock rotors.
also did this w/ axxis on stoptech kit.

I was told this commonly occurs after keeping the foot on the brake after getting the brakes pretty hot.

yshi - who cured both instances by taking the car to the track
