Default Anyone try those tire valva cap lights?

Hi, I recently seen some of these at an online website and curious to know if anyone has put these on and tried them? Kind of reminds me of the more flashier spinners. The ones I seen were priced $5 each which seems quite cheap.

Nice to meet and greet with everyone

I've seen them on cars and they look pretty crappy IMHO. They really cause a distraction to other drivers, since the flashing attracts other drivers' attention from the road, which could potentially cause someone to wreck.

They should be illegal IMHO... maybe they are already.

I believe they are illegal on roads, highways, (basically any traveling conditions). However, I've not heard anything about them being illegal in let's say, a Wal-Mart parking lot, or something like that.

But, as far as looks go, if you had a red valve light, I'm sure it'd make the tire seem as if it was on fire, lol. Dunno, It's worth a shot just to impress people.

The ones I've seen flash intermittently when the tires rotate, which gives the appearance of momentary arcs of light. They don't stay on long enough to last for a full tire rotation, so it just looks like an arc of light instead of a full circle.

Every time I see them I end up looking and going "what was that". I'm sure other people do the same when they see them, especially if they don't know what they are. That's why I say they are dangerous as that distracted attention could cause a wreck.

They are, in the US at least.

However, its only illegal to have them active (lit up) on public streets, its perfectly legal to have them installed and disabled (and only used on private property).
