Default leave car alone for like 2 days and it wont start

Sorry this is kinds lengthy just bare with me.
So i just recently got my first CRX, its a 91 CRX DX. its completely stock not a single thing in it isn't stock other than the radio. I cant really drive it yet because i havent gotten tags for it yet so i never start it up but i did like the first 3 days i had it. i left it alone for about 2 days and when i tried to start it up it didn't do anything, the lights and radio and all electrical things worked but it just wouldnt turn over, it just sat there cranking, i left it alone for a couple hours came out and tried it again, and it started right up, this exact same thing happend to me yesterday, it didnt start then like 5 or 6 hours later it started right up. Whats wrong with it!?!?

And i dont know if this matters or not but its a salvage title because the passenger door and fender was hit, but its replaced and looks perfect. And there is no damage in the engine bay.

sounds like a bad main relay.

Turn the ignition to the "on" position you should hear the main relay click once and then the fuel pump will hum for 2 seconds. if you cant hear these things when it doesnt start than its the relay.

they can be intermittent, I drove around with a bad main relay for about 4 years.

no you dont need to do that, just pay attention to those noises when you go to start it.
typicaly the main relay wont work when it gets hot, so test it when it gets hot, or anytime for that matter.

well i tried starting it yesterday and it took a while but i got it started and i tried starting it today and it wont start, it sounds like its getting worse and worse it sounds like its going to die when ever im trying to start it i checked the battery and it has 12.34 volts so im guessing its not the battery, and this is a different battery than the one i had in it 2 days ago.

i video taped it trying to start its not long because it sounds really bad but here it is and if this doesnt work here is a link

i just watched the video and for some reason i cant hear anything idk if its just my computor or if for some reason it loaded without sound but yeah you can see how dim the lights get now that its getting worse

I am also living with this problem that sometimes it wont start in hot temperature outside. reading the forum i learned its main relay. but labor is expensive to change a main realy and I am not expert enough to change it myself. stuck.

This is DIY. That relay is beside the coin pocket on the left side of the dash. Stop being ridiculous and start learning to fix your car. Unless you want to pay huge amounts of money for trivial repairs.

if you can change a fuse, you can change a relay.

ya, if you look up under the dash ( left side) youll be able to see it. its just one 10mm bolt holding it inplace. its a common enough prob that u dont need to go into too much diag time. if you have probs starting it again just tap it while cranking. if it fires up, then youll know for sure its the relay.

if youre hearing the fuel pump prime as described even when it doesnt start, then the problem is not the main relay.

im not quite sure 12.34 volts is an indication of a "good" battery.

however, i say you should check the tightness of the battery terminals. if its loose, it will cause weird, intermittent starting issues.
