I'll be taking the MSF course in just over a month. Hopefully shortly after, I will have a new (used) bike.
The issue, I live in an apartment and therefore have no garage.
How many of you live in an apartment and keep it outside? Do you cover it when you aren't riding it? How worried are you about it being stolen?

Since I am assuming you have a parking space, I would just park the bike in front of your car.

haha, awesome honesty.
I live in an apartment, but it's part of a house so I don't have the typical parking setup. There's a porch off of my bedroom that was walled off below and I park my bike in there and cover it with a dowco guardian. I also tacked up a tarp on the one open side of the porch to prevent people from seeing my bike.

I park it in my garage underneath the house
If I had a ground-level apartment with sliding glass door, I'd park it inside.
If not, I'd park it outside under a cover and maintain full coverage insurance. If it gets stolen, sucks for me.

Just park it in a garage and then build a cinder block wall around it up to the roof to fully enclose it, never tell anyone you got it, never ride it, and even then it will probably still get stolen.
i too live in an apartment, so what i do is park in front of my car as close as possible and lock up the wheels and turn the car alarm on. I then cover her up. A couple of bikes from my complex has already been stolen. It sucks living in Stockton, thank god I'm moving back to Chico in a week.
you can also look into an alarm/lojack. i have a pager alram on mine by scorpio. it goes off when it tilts upstraight, when the ignition is turned on, when the wheels roll, and gets set off by shock. also the new lojack systems have an early alert system that calls you when your bike is moved without the keychain they give you being next to the ignition. And if the lojack system fails to get ur bike back they'll reimburse you up to $5k.
This is where i kept it at my old place

I was thinking about this, but then you have to drive to it anytime you want to ride.

My first bike (R6) got stolen from my apartment.. I bought a house with a nice two car garage to keep my toys in, then bought another bike.
