91 crx w/mini me motor swap w/ turbo
exhaust is thermal motor 91 si block 93 vtech head turbo is a t3t4 out of a saab waste gate is internal running 255 high flow pump and fmu dont think there are any leaks but how do you check for it
Are you running a boost gauge?
How about some pictures...
Did you rebuild the turbo before install?
Did you check the turbo before install?
Do you have any info that would actually help us figure out what your problem is? Because right now you are very vague and we can't read minds.

yes im running a boost gauge. turbo had no play or anything spins fine. only thing is the turbo has oil and coolant in and out but the guy i bought it from never had the coolant lines hooked up. i can put up pics if u wanna see how its hooked up
The coolant lines are there keep the turbo cool, thats why alot of manufactures run oil & coolant cooled turbo to prolong the life of the turbo. Hook them up, although that is not the reason your not building boost. Pics would help out

is that electrical tape on your piping, i'm hoping its just covering rust, also, your using worm clamps, you should upgrade those to t-bolts, the worm clamps could be a source for a boost leak. also, check your exhaust manifold, looks like its seen better days, make sure there are no cracks. there is also a good bit of rust on that wastegate, are you sure it's still working proberly and not stuck open? turbod16.com could help you some more. gl
yeah, that duck tape looks questionable, as does the wg and manifold, you could unbolt the wg from the turbo, and try to move the lever by hand, it should move fairly easy. you could also connect your wg to a compressor, and see if it pops open, you may want to turn down the pressure tho, 20 psi or less.
well it all depends on how bad the cracks are, but if theya re any bigger then a few pinholes i doubt it would hold boost. you could build a presure tester by putting endcaps on the pipe by the TB, and by the turbo, and hook up an air compressor, and it should hold the presure without leaking
well if it is blowing off with any kind of force it is prolly building some kind of boost, what does your gauge read from? does it read vacuum and boost? if it reeds vac, do u see it move to -20 or -30 ish when u are idleing and then go to 0 when u accelerate?
if that's the case ~30psi on a stock motor...hmmm...doesn't sound like fun unless you like to gamble, maybe you got lucky and just toasted the rings or a head gasket, how's your compression reading?
why's the boost guage reading 50 vacuum??? where did you tee it in? just to make sure you did use a vacuum source after the throttle body right (intake manifold side)
