Tranny case cracked, I'm I screwed???
Well to make a long story short, I wrecked my SI crx about 6 months ago. I messed up a lot of stuff in the wreck but have just about fixed everything or so I thought. I went to clean up my tranny a bit and noticed a crack in it, not huge but it's still cracked. This is a couple pic's of the crack:

Now I know the tranny can brake down into 2 pieces, can I use the outer case from a DX tranny and swap it with the SI's? or can this be welded up?

If its not leaking fluid, then you'll have some time to find a scrapper case to swap everything into...physically its not too hard, but I wouldn't do it alone because there are alot of parts to keep track of. The toughest bit is the order of what goes in/out and getting the gear selectors all in order.
