is it possible to put a b series head on a zc block? this is kinda noob ? i was just curious

Pretty sure the time and money required to machine it to fit is just as much if not more then a LS would cost

No it wont bolt right up. I've seen it done before but it was a simple bolt on process.

It was far more trouble then it was worth.

It required welding IIRC.

I dug around on HT and couldn't find the old thread that had the how too. It was in depth and one of those if you have to ask you can't do it kinda deals.

OP if you really want a B series head put in a B series motor.

k cause im just trying to get ideas cause i bought a dohc zc from a buddy for 250 and it need a rebuild so it was just a thought. which would be easier/cheaper? rebuild zc and drop in or go b series? i havea dx hatchback with a d15b2

a rebuild on a ZC would be much cheaper than getting a B16 and dropping it in

k where is a reliable inexpensive place to get zc performance and rebuild parts? i am running standard sized pistons and rings i think the whole engine is stock, where is a good place to get valve train, cams, lightened crank, rods and pistons for cheap? i plan on turboing this in january

cncmotorsports is a good place, got my eagle rods for cheap there. supposidly vitara pistons work ok and they're cheap. head work, how much money are you willing to spend? its about $1000 for all the parts for the head not including labor..
build the block with new oem bearings, seals and headgasket, leave the head stock and run 14psi all day long with no worries. make sure its tuned good first.
IMO.
I did just that - 1 yr and counting, 40,000km and still runs mint.
