I am getting ripped off by a moderator on H-T and here's my story:

Back in early March of this year I sent $200 to Vegeta for a VAFC. Two weeks pass by and I did NOT receive any confirmation that he has received my money. I email him my concern and told him I would do a trace. He emails me back and tells me that he just got off the phone with his dad and the money order did arrive. He told me he would send the VAFC to me after he purchased a Hondata system. I told him I was in no rush to recieve it as long as I got it by the end of April. In early April, he decides to sell his ITR so I thought I would recieve the VAFC sooner than anticipated. End of April comes and I did not recieve a thing. I told him to give me my money back and he agrees. Two weeks later (mid May), I get an email from him stating that he sent my money back. A few weeks pass by and I still have not recieved a thing. I ask him if he sent it to the right address and he says yes. I asked him what address he sent it to and he replies "the one you gave me", not a very re-assuring answer but I let it slide. I tell him to try to trace it, he says he can't. Six weeks pass by and still nothing, he agrees to re-send the money to me again but this time he was supposed to send it via FedEx so we can trace it if we needed to. Early July, he IM's me that he has sent the money insured postal mail (not FedEx as planned). He ensures me that I will recieve my money yet it has been three weeks since he sent the money the 2nd time and I have yet to recieve anything from Vegeta. Now to top it all off he has stopped replying to my emails and instant messages.

I have been very patient through this whole ordeal (over 4 months since I sent him my money). I refrained from posting anything bad about Vegeta on H-T. I know he is a trustworthy guy and he would not purposely rip me off, so if someone could please encourage him to correct this problem.

Anytime someone supposedly sends you money, and they offer to re-send it, they did not send it in the first place. Sounds like your situation sucks, I hate dealing with people online, nothing but flakes.

 

I'm in Canada and he is in USA. Customs has been very careful with mail across borders but for non-parcel items this should not be a concern. A normal sized letter should go pass the border without issues.

I am sure there are people on this board that can vouch for my honesty and trustworthiness in dealing with car parts sales over the internet.

Dan Ponze AKA God was a mod, and he is hardly around anymore due to complaints about his testpipes and customer service.

Boba-Fett was a moderator too, and he ripped at least one HT member off.

I did always think Vegeta was a cool guy though...so wtf?

 

i guess thats what happens you start driving a BMW you look down all the Honda drivers. Social status sucks...

now i hope vegeta isnt going thru this but you never know

I was in the same situation, but with an Obd2-1 harness. I never got it, only received something in collateral that I didn't have use for and basically sold to make some of the money back. He said the SAME EXACT EXCUSE when I stated I wanted my money back. That he sent it back to me, same address, but then nothing showed up in my mail box. So he started blaming me that I was trying to RIP HIM off for 150 bucks, because he believed I had gotten the money and was lying to him to get another 150 from him. Total BS. I doubt anyone from FL will help you that knows him because I posted about my situation and had NO help what so ever. Im SO, SO SORRY you have had to deal with him like I had to. It is very frustrating.

I really wish some of his FL homies would put a check on him for doing these things.

Man, that is not re-assuring news. But thanks for the post.

I will refrain from posting his real name and address so he has time to correct this wrong. But if I don't receive any sort of response soon, I will post it up!

Actually being a mod means jack! It just means that you can police this board for trolls and/or improper post in a forum. It does NOT insure that the guy you are dealing with is trustworthy. The irony of is that I ordered from Dan Ponze on 3 occasions and always got what I ordered timely and as promised. When lots of peopl on this board had nothing but sour grapes with him. This is why I avoid online transactions these days. Too many horror stories.

Hmm I never recall you posting before about your situation.. but anyways.. I've only met Vegeta once, and he bagged the other time on us. I have no clue where he lives, don't have his number, etc. I have his first name and AIM name and that's it.. he's not on AIM right now but I'll keep an eye out for him. Mike K, topspeed and the other **NAPLES** guys know him far more than any of the other FL people.

 

I haven't seen the guy for a while. Wasn't he selling $900 Jun3 cams a while back? Glad i decided to go turbo!

Good luck man. I remember him having many problems because he was very busy but I remember him solving those.

 

If you sent a money order and he did not cash it
Go to the post office and get the money back that way
But if he's a ripper then ya he cashed it

 

Hes had the time to cash it but couldn't find the time to send out the product. Sounds like a pattern for scammers.

 

I bought a few things from Vegeta, and have met him many times in person. He is a trustworthy guy. There must just be a big misunderstanding. E-mail him at: typer0149@aol.com and see if you get a response.

Ryan: Reread the thread man. He's not getting a response with email that's why he posted. Mike was late as **** on sending assdime's cams out as well. He is busy but you can't take peoples money and not send the **** out.

 

lately it seems like people that are (suppose to be) trust worthy are ripping people off. he's just another one of them. this is why i am paranoid to buy anything off of honda-tech or any other message board for that matter.

 

hey man...when i got fucked over by a florida person I tried talking to other florida peeps and they didnt help...so dont expect none. Sorry to say.

Also the guy who ripped me off...he is on this board and is friends with this vegeta character.
