hello everyone i have 1996 civic cx.When I start my car I get a noise that sounds like the noise you here when you start your car while its already running. it kinda struggles to turn on, and only does it when the engine is cold. any ideas on want it could be? thanks in advance.

 

you're battery or alternator may be dying.

 

well i changed my battery and it turn on alot faster but its still doing that weird noise. if want to get my alternator checked do i have to take it off and take it to an autozone or can i just take it on the car. and also do u guy think i probly need to get a new clutch couse it feels like its slipping

 

sounds like your starter is staying engaged a little longer than it should...it could be your alternator but i would have the starter checked as well

 

ill get it checked. do u guys know how much im looking to spend on a new starter or alternator?
