91 Civic si --> sohc zc swap questions
hi, I had a few questions from a couple of months ago that were answered here, thanks! Now that I have the car running I have one more (hope)
originally the zc I have was from an HF, I didn't have my si harness so I had to us the HF harness and plug it into my si chassis harness, I had to repin almost all the wires to do this, in this time I also replaced the dizzy and the tps was broken so I replaced it as well. I was now getting spark (ignition wires are in different spots for these harnesses and you wire in an egr wire for it) but no fuel, so I used the search future !!
and learned about main relays and how to resolder them and that fixed my fuel problem and the car started and runs, but it goes straight to 5k rpms and stays there, I have tried adjusting the tps, I set it to .5 volts on middle wire w/ KOnEOff and it starts up the same and revs straight to 5k rpms...could my tps be bad? Its one I got off ebay because none of the autoparts stores could find one that would fit, but the voltage changes when I rotate it so it appears to be working but even when I adjust it with engine running nothing changes in idle...any suggestions?

sounds to me like you have a vacuum leak or the throttle plate isn't closing completely - has to be getting a lot of air from somewhere to make it idle fast
