best time was 9.226 and best trap was 84.35mph. I did a total of 4 runs.

Runs were done at 1400rpm launch. and not floored during 1st gear. Is it me or are street tires just not enough? I know they break loose super easy since i can do it all day on the street while rolling but is it that bad or am i doing something wrong? I was advised at the track to launch higher since i'm a turbo honda. I fully spool at 5300rpm so i tried to launch at 4200rpm. That was a big NO GO. I spun thru 1st-2ed-3rd and into 4th gear. Help me out. i'm tired of seeing 9's in the 8th.

ps. my current best et on 1/4 is 13.35 and my best trap is 110mph

 

I ran a 8.13 with a 1.9 60 foot at the 1/8 mile track in a b16 turbo with 22/8/15 slicks. Hp is right at 300 hp, car is a full interior 90 4dr. Get some slicks or drag radials and that 60' foot will drop.

 

i ran an 8.49 @88.62 with a 2.18 60ft. i have 195/50/15" toyo proxes 4 tires, and stock suspension on my 92 civic cx, it has an lsvtec turbo also.
i launced it right at 4000 on that run, i am also using a 6 puck sprung clutch.
my 1/4 mile was a 12.84 @113.62.

 

81mph is not close to 280whp in a EG hatch. I trapped 94 with around 250whp in a VX hatch and ran 7.4's. Granted it was on slicks but still your traps are low.

 

i know that 1/4 mile 113mph for my weight in my civic (2450lbs) is about 265whp - 270 ish. i only spun 1st and 2nd gear.

 

That to me seems about right. Yeah street tire are going to do you no justice what so ever. I bet you were spinning through the traps werent you. I had a turbo b16 and I ran 9.2 at 88mph but it would spin the entire run.
