transmission change
the car has 112000 miles on it and i got it with about 107000 or 108000 and something was wrong with the transmission and had to get a new one,so could i sell it or maybe trade it?
Take some photos of the car..All angles, any dents, interior, engine bay shots, everything. make a new thread on the Marketplace. Make sure you mention tranny trouble. Suggest a trade. So example this is what you would name your title:
"1996 Honda Accord LX Auto F/S or Trade!!"
F/S.. as in for sale
Take the picture of the mileage of the car. Note any other problems. If you have receipts of work you recently did on car, mention it in the post. I'm pretty sure someone would want to take it off your hand. Someone who wouldn't mind fixing it up.
Then you list the cars you are willing to trade for and conditions..
Example: 97 Honda Civic Ex... Good condition.. Etc.
Or you could buy a Tranny from a discount parts store like this site:
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/
You call up a mechanic and ask him how much would it cost to replace transmission (don't tell him you bought the part) He'll tell you how much for the part and labor. After that bring it in and tell him you already got the part. Tell him you'll pay whatever the labor was to install and you are set. I screw over some mechanics with this method.
