Weight difference of Glass vs. CF would be appreciated, not to mention an article showing exactly how vital this higher (top) weight on a car is to handling aspects.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I believe that Best Motoring did a video on the mitsubishi lancer evo about weight difference in the a/b/c pillars and the difference of making a lighter roof weight. It showed slalom times dramatically different with just a few pounds, and said something like 4kgs off the roof would stop a lot of body lean.

I wish our cars were a bit lighter... Since I am striving to become a ME, I might as well take all the measurements of my car (gen 3 integra) and end up making a whole CF monocoque of it with the addition of reinforcing all of the weak parts in the chassis....

If I only had money, lol.

just a rought estimate if you remove the entire sunroof assembly and epoxy in the plug you save easilly 45lbs

i have to get the assembly back into the shop for the weight

when will the eg ones be available? also when you say can be used as stock glss replacement, are you saying that its pre drilled to fit onto my sunroof system.

dropped off the mold for the ek's and eg's yesterday

if you look at the picture of the bottom of the plug we have incorporated the assembley where the glass actually bolts on to the track using an epoxy
the oem rubber gasket also fits perfectly back around the plug
