Default noob tuning question...hondata s100,s300/chrome pro

im planning a ls non-vtec all motor build and trying to learn a little more about tuning. i see that the s300 has a lot of opitions and it comes at a price of 600. but im looking to get her tuned and running good with all the performance i could get out of her. i dont what all the options that the s300 has.

the question really is...is there a tuning option available where i dont have to pay 600 for hondata. will the s100 work or chrome pro do the same job regarding tuning and reliabilty/performance.

thank you.

the s100 will work fine, and its USB so its much more convenient than Crome pro.

You're also going to get flamed for not only going all motor, but for doing it without VTEC.

Just to warn you.

Use Chrome on a chipped P28, it'll cost you like 125+ tuning charges.

You can only obtain the best tune by dyno tuning anyways, so you're better off chipping an ECU and having the best results of dyno tuning burnt onto the chip.

It'll give you the best tune, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than Hondata stuff.

EDIT:
PS: There's nothing dyno tuning wise that Hondata can do that a chipped OBD-I ECU with Chrome can't.

I didn't say there was, I just said with Hondata you use a USB cable, not $500 worth (literally) of romulators and burners and all that BS.

Also, Chrome is a metal alloy found on big SUVs and Tractor-Trailers, it won't be very good for tuning your car. The tuning program is Crome.
