Buying a car WI and I live in IL... anybody know the rules.
So i have some questions about buying a car in WI when i live in IL. Does anyone know if there are any rules that I have to follow when doing this? Also the car that I am looking at buying is a 98 which means it is an OBD 2 car but it has been converted to OBD 1. I dont know what the rules are for that. Any help that you can give me would be great. Thank you very much.

if it's not from a dealer it's not a big deal
i believe your illinois emissions standards are less tsrict than ours, so the obd2 conversion shouldn't matter
you buy the car here, register it there, and pay at your local tax rate
