I want to know everything i can do to my car but still keep it street legal and pass emissions, i do not want to have to go through all the trouble of paying someone off to pass my car for emissions. I know that i/h/e are street legal and will pass emissions but what else can i do? Cams, cam gears...?

 

pretty much anything you do to your car will be cause to fail emissions.... plain and simple.

I'm preparing to pay someone next year to smog my car... i'm not taking it all off.. much less have the stock parts to put back on either....

good luck.. even some of the "carb" certified parts have problems passing.

 

may i ask where u are paying someone to do this for u since i live in socal also.

 

my friends dad used to own a couple shops in socal before he sold them and he says he can get me smogged, but i just have to wait and see. One of myother friends tells me he can get it done in orange county too, but it's lke300 dollars.... i dont know since i have never done an illegal smog job....

so i'll have to see....

you need to ask around all your friends and get solid info or numbers 6 months in advance.. cause i nkow a lot of people that say "pay someone" but never seem to actually know anyone that they claim can do it....

mine is due next august so i'll know then..

 

hey GSRwBoost- Have you done a presmog yet? Im thinking i will pass smog with my turbo but not the visual part. Gonna try to take it to some place who wont bust my chops for the visual.
