Default Question about replacing my front brakes

I searched and didn't find too much on this. On Saturday I started to get some noise on my front brakes and now I plan to replace them this weekend. However I was doing some research and it looks like the hub is on the outside of the rotor so I will need to take the axle off to get the hub off to replace the rotor.

Anyone with first hand experience that could give me some information on what problems I might run into? This is for a 1991 Accord.

Thanks,

Thanks for the replies.

It shows using this tool to remove the hub, is there an alternate method I can use to get it off? If there isn't can this tool be bought at Sears since I want to do this job asap.

Thanks.

Haha technically there is a bunch of ways, that is just the most effective and efficient way.

You could try to borrow one from Advanced Auto

Yeah the reason that DIY has that tool is because they tried to use ropes and a bunch of other pullers and couldn't get it.

I wish i had researched it before i did mine at work.

we used a huge slide hammer connected to the wheel studs.

It was a pain.

Make sure when you're there that you tell them what car this is for. When I did this project, my autozone told me that they did not carry the correct puller for our cars. Maybe you'll get lucky, but its best to check and make sure

don't always take what they say for granted. double check, regardless if they say it'll work or not. Most of those people know less than you about YOUR car, so chances are they are going off what the computer does or does not say whereas you may know for a fact it'll work with your car. Not saying this is always the case or it's there fault, just saying to do your research and know what you are looking for when you go in there.

yeah, thats not ideal as you can separate the hub for the bearing which can cause damage to the bearing and isn't advised to reuse the old bearing.

Thanks. In this case, I will just order the one that is in that write up. I want to make this go as smooth as possible.
