Default Is this a good deal?

Hi, I'm new to Honda-Tech... I just want to know if I've found a good deal. I found myself a 95 black honda accord ex sedan with a clean title... and he's selling it for $2,500. The only problem with the car is that his girl crashed it and the radiator is broken so the AC doesn't work and there are little problems with the car, like the front windshield is cracked, the front is pushed in a little, it's been keyed, it needs a major tune up. the only major problem is that it's been pushed in from a 5-10 mph hit that his girl did. My friend has spoken with a mechanic and it'll probably cost about $1,500 to fix...but he's not sure yet cause he hasn't looked at the car...this includes painting and body work. So what do you guys think? Please help me out. Thanks!

I'd like to be the first to say welcome to the H-T family, since that is one helluva deal.

i dont think so...my policy has been never buy a car thats been in an accident. they are just lemony after that. If you buy the car, id bet you would have problems till the death of it.

I had an incident similar to that and my car was fine after being fixed though. If there was suspension damage, then I would not get one.

That is suprisingly good for a 95 Accord. My dad's has 145k on it, my 94 has 90k.

get an estimate for repair from a body shop. If the front frame is messed up too bad, then you are gonna have your hands full

he will not know until he opens it up and gets a better look

I would get the body shop to straighten out the frame and get parts from another honda car or honda themselves
