If this is OBD2, and you're running a JDM motor then you will get some check engine lights, which will put your car in limp mode.

Otherwise thefre won't be a noticeable difference, as long as you're running the correct ECU.

im going from jdm obd2 to a usdm chipped p06 obd1

As long as its tuned for your engine you'll be fine.

IF tis basemapped for something else you're obviously going to have problems.
