Need help with belt and idle issues.
Well first off let me describe my car. I have a 1997 Honda Prelude Base model.
Now for the first of my issues, is the belt. I am not sure what belt it is, I believe it is a accessory belt. If you are look into the engine bay it is the furthest to the right of the engine. Also it only goes around two pulleys and makes a single loop. My questions about the belt is what belt is it and what is envolved in changing it?
My next question has a few parts. First is about the idle in general. When I first start the car the idle is somewhere above 1000 and when the car warms up it drops to what seems like anywhere from 500-800 and will stay there when ever i am idling. Is this normal? If not how could I fix this?
Next part is when the air conditioning is on. The air will only blow cold when im traveling at speed and will turn warm when I idle. Is this just the air conditioning needing to be recharged or something else?
Also when I have the air conditioning on and I am idling the rpms will jump from 1000 and down to almost 0. It feels like its about to die, but doesnt. Is there a way to fix this also?
