Default new shifter bushings

Hey, i've never replaced shifter bushings before and i was wondering, the one that is located underneath that attaches the shifter to the floor, do u have to unflare it, and then reflare it to put on a polyurethane bushing? Whats the best way to do it? Let me know, thanks.

The end of the stabilizer bar is slightly flared, but you will not need to squeeze the flared part to put on the bushing. It goes on with little effort.
