The 205/50 is for 15" wheels. 205's seem too wide for 5.5"-wide rims anyway.

195/60-14 is the common size people run; I wouldn't run anything bigger(for many manufacturers, 5.5" is the minimum recommended rim width for the 195-wide tires). Stock width will work well too but with lower profile sidewalls to reduce sidewall flexing and improve gearing.

well forgot what the HX is in width but yeah I know the common size 195/proper size 185 to run just not getting regular size for these babyhere got other sets of HX rims which I can get regular tires for later....but I'm looking for something else bigger for these baby here...

but what model are you talking about "hai_tech"???(205-50-14 falken azenis) unless you mean the 205/60/14 falken ZE-512 ZIEX???? but only biggest size I can find is 205/60/14 is that going to fit well for the CRX??? is the 205/60 the 60 going to be too much/big? will it look good/right on a CRX?? LMK guys looking for a set or pair soon.....

Toyo Proxes T1R come in 195/55/14. As far as I know, they are the only 195 tire that is close to stock diameter (185/60) on a 14" wheel.

(crx_si-r)be a bit better if there was a nice side view/photo that wasn't too big with it on the REX.....clean REX are those ebay coners and signals? or bought em from else where?

I guess everyone wants me to run close to stock/proper tire size vs me WANTING SOME FAT/MEATY TIRES like 205/??/14 for these babies eh? Seriously I want to see if I can do 205 something and if anyone has ran 205 before???????????

HAS ANYONE ran or is anyone currently running any 205/??/14 tires on their HX or 14" rims????????otherwise probably have to get 195/55/14 then or if not that 60

Well if 205 is what you are really set on, technically the 195 Azenis are wider than many of the 205s out there.

With that said, there is a reason there are hardly any 205/14 street tires to find, and that's that they are usually being shoehorned onto 5" and 5.5" wheels and 6" wheels. That 205 width squeezed onto a 5 or 5.5" wheel would still have the same contact patch as a 195 due to the warpage of the tire.

The exception to this being r-compound race tires that were made for autocrossing in stock classes. The problem with getting those nominal 205s on a 14" wheel is that they are mostly limited to non-street legal race compounds that would last only a couple of months of daily driving.

There might be a good 205/14 street tire hiding out there somewhere, but it wont be of any hadling benefit squeezed onto a 5.5" HX wheel... but it would look nice if the profile is right.

Yeah I'm cool with that, on no handle or might just get a fat pair for the back then and get the 195 in the front....that's what I need to know too if I can find who has them (the 205) and the right profile size so I can pick up a set/pair whatever be SWEET BUT REALLY 195 is more wider than 205s or just the "195 Azenis" if so will def. look into the Azenis as possible front and maybe try to find some 205 for the back? LMK on the 195/Azenis or whatever it is, interested to know more....whats the model on the Azenis??TIA

On the 195 Azenis or others would you guys go 55 in diameter or 60? 60 to me seems like it'll be a tad big or does it look right and just me ???

Azenis RT-615 or RT-215 will be the wider-than-stated ones.

Hankook Ventus RS Z212s also run very wide for its stated size.

Okay so let me try to get this or understand this the two tires you just mention to me are 195 and yet they are pretty wide in width correct? If so, okay will surely def. look into those baby and possibly get them sounds good THANKS (fireant)

Just on the side still cuz would still like to get some 205s so if anyone is running 205s let me know as well. TIA

If you're going for a stock/comfortable ride for 14's go with 185/60/14
That's what I have on my CRX now. But I wanna go with 195/60/14 for a bit more width but I am unsure how fat they are gonna look on the car. Like you, I'd definitely like to see some more up close pics of 195's on a crx/hatch

Here's the crx with 185 60 14's. From the rear of the car the tires look skinny!

Why exactly do you want wider tires in the back? You do know your car is fwd? right? I'm not trying to be a ***, I'm just trying to help.

Ditto. Just run 195's all around. If anything, I'd go slightly narrow for the rears.

I know your not Back front doesn't matter, I switch my **** all over sometimes just long as it's got some tires/traction left on it Yeah I know it's FWD.... WHY???for the cool factor of course! hahah j/k nawh I've got 6 other Honda cars sure few of them can handle the 205s or 215s if I can find a set??? want to pick up more traction/grip verses the skinny *** little tires Plus got 3 or is it 4? set of HX rims so going have all kind of size tire so I can switch on and off when I like so yeah....or have a set for daily/drag/auto etc. got some 17s on one of the CRX that's running the 205s which I like but just with it being 17s is too freaken big and got plenty of 14s so just want some 205s on it since this REX can handle the 205s pretty well verses getting some skinny little tires ALSO looks sexy with the 205s too

JesseCRX******that's what I don't like the skinny *** little tires(185) on a CRX or civic but 195 is decent then depends on the profile if lowered and etc...but 195 is not that fat compare to the 185 just a bit better than the 185----
but want something a bit bigger then the 195 so that's why I ask with the 205s or maybe 215s (if possible) with no fittment issues on my other Civics or CRXs when I switch them off.....

hummm now only if I can super size that photo to see the size tire you're running j/p would help a bit on what size you have on there and a side shot would be greatly appreciated if possible but don't look too bad....

well most likely going to grab the Azenis unless I just totally flip and choose some sort of 205 that I can find...but NO ONE with 205s on 14s???????? weather they're running all 4 or just the front?

well guess if NO one is running the 205s then guess I'll probably go with the 195/55/14 or 60? (profile) Azenis.... read the reviews etc and everything-what's everyones input? Sounds like they're pretty good tires can only hope they'll be just as good or like what I would want and more? got a pair of the yoko. es100? or whatver too lazy to look/remember is the Azenis better then those/how's the wear/tread life on them? didn't have too much honda reviews and if it did wasn't sure of the size which people were running....

BUT if that's all than thanks otherwise keep posting and I'll look at what you have to say
