will my dx tranny be able to handle a day @ Thunder Hill?
hey everyone, i have a 97 DX hatchback with mostly suspension mods. i have a track day coming up at thunder hill and would like some advice. this is my first track event and my daily driver. i don't want to push my car too hard, but still have fun with it. are DX tranny's weak? how careful do i need to be (driving) and what should i look out for in order to get through the day and still drive home?

Just don't hammer the shifts like you are at the drga strip. Nice and smooth. This goes for all cars and trannies - no need to shift super fast.
ITACivic: August 6th
Yoda: yesterday was my brake install day. i swapped out my mc and booster with an itr mc and booster, bled and changed my brake fluid to motul dot 4, installed new brembo blanks, and new porterfiled r4s pads. still breaking them in, but the pedal feels very responsive and hopefull the brakes will have a good bite.

learned that the hard way after a mis-shift on my first track session, 8k+ on a 7k car
